More so than the model sneaking into the role of photographer for a moment or two was something else a little surreal about this particular shot. When I came to put my finger on it, it was indeed a surrealism: chignons and cameras obscuring faces makes for a Magritte-like anonymity.

The second shot shows a little more of the scene, which was photographed backstage at Loewe’s Paris fashion week show as models lined up to do a run-through.
