We’ve haven’t been shy in singing the praises of the aviator fashion trend since the beginning of the year. Nor have we been anything but constant in declaring a shearling bomber jacket / aviation jacket as the key statement piece for autumn / fall 2010. So for those fashionisers yet to invest in the trend, or those looking for an additional piece for their new-season wardrobe, here’s another possibility: the Ralph Lauren Cortland Shearling Bomber.

Modelled above by Anna Selezneva, we can’t say we’re a fan of mixing the look with too many winter florals as visual impact of the bomber jacket becomes somewhat diluted.

The Cortland Shearling Bomber comes from Ralph Lauren’s Polo Ralph Lauren Fall 2010 collection and is available from their official site.

The First picture has so much going on on the top and the jacket already grabs attention.. so i would rather the second picture because most of the floral activity is at the bottom and it doesn't interfere with the jacket i like the second style.

I love the floral with the bomber jacket! The bomber is a hard look, but paired with some floral really pulls the look together.

I want one! There is something very masculine about it, it's almost like it has been borrowed from her boyfriend. I really like the first one, even though I see your point about the floral part.

Late one Oxford night Daniel P Dykes set about creating a fashion publication that would go someway to being an arbiter on fashion as it appeals to the emerging power generations: those who don't remember a world without the Internet and for whom work plays second fiddle to pleasure. And so Fashionising.com was born as a publication for those who were focussed not just on fashion's trends, but on society's too, and how those trends could all go to heighten the art of living. Hence, Daniel sees a future where, for those young at heart, both fashion and style are grounded in traditional quality, but with a youthful, sensualised edge. Daniel is Fashionising.com's Editor in Chief and Chairman.
