Mr Kate “The Elsie” collection look book

Rather than sticking purely to the mystical influences defining fall 2014’s jewellery trends, designer Kate Albrecht went all the way back to the Edwardian period for her latest collection. Inspired by Lily Elsie, an Edwardian era actress, the collection features matte metals alongside sparkling crystals. One particularly unusual piece is an eye patch that can also be worn as a headpiece or necklace.

She believes in silver linings

Maybe it’s because she appears to have been traveling all across the universe, sporting visible marks that speak aloud about another kind of reality, or perhaps it’s because she appears to belong to another dimension all together, but something about Melissa Tan’s silver-stained beauty screams otherworldly, and in more ways than the obvious. Being photographed in timeless black and white by JC adds to the…

Red lips, fair skin, perfectly nude (NSFW)

A Marilyn Monroe kind of beauty, but a little rougher around the edges; with her skin fair, her hair blonde and her lips the perfect red, Madeleine doesn’t mind bearing it all in front of the camera. Because when you’re gifted with a body of such classic proportions, and a glow that seems to be radiating from within, the lights, camera and action can only…

Gypsum look book does classroom chic

Smoking in the toilets, thigh high socks, cable knit hotpants and plenty of attitude: Gypsum channels school girl chic with some good-girls-gone-bad looks. \Photographed by Derren Versoza, the look book features plenty of plaid alongside some cropped sweaters and relaxed silhouettes.

Hotpants + boots: things best left to models?

I’d love to sit here and tell you that absolutely anyone can pull off a tiny pair of denim hotpants worn in tandem with thigh high boots. But some combinations are better left grounded in reality, and that reality happens to be that this look is best left to long, toned, modelesque legs. By all means, if you feel game to try it, why not.…

Put on a smile and wear the blues

Sartorially refined but indulging in shreds of dark florals and geometric prints just to keep things interesting, looking just as good in a pair of jeans and a shirt, as he does in a dapper suit: this is Alex, portraying timeless elegance with deep tinges of blue as lensed by Cesar Ochoa.

Dreaming their dreams amidst endless fields of gold

Like open doors connecting the real world with a seemingly parallel universe, Luca Meneghel‘s photographs are never short of extraordinary. Intoxicated by light, with the sweet scent of the sun lingering on their skin, his characters dare dream their dreams amidst endless fields of gold, free, untroubled, unreachable. Metaphors that split into small infinities, garments that speak in a whisper about a return to simplicity…

Alexander Wang x H&M debuts in New York

The date is set for November 6. That’s the date that the world will go a little crazy for H&M, when the high street will be reduced to a collective Alexander Wang-induced swoon. Wang’s collaboration for the high street giant debuted last night in New York, where the Armory on the Hudson was transformed from track and field to runway. Designing for the masses didn’t…

Sylvio Giardina S/S ’15: White Noise

A new classicism distinguished by extensive embellishments feeds upon the absolute nature of white in shaping Sylvio Giardina’s spring / summer 2015 collection; a display of innovative silhouettes, using various textures and techniques to breath new life into the abstract void surrounding the purest shades of white. Dresses rendered in luminescent satins and 3D brocades, collide with unexpected splashes of acid and aqua greens in…
