Given the recent announcement of PHI closing up shop, snapping up a few pieces from the label seemed the only reasonable thing to do on boxing day. After all, Melbourne’s Cactus Jam had some stunning pieces on their sale rack – and so both a lingerie inspired corset dress and skirt came home with me that day.

Photographer Steph took these snaps last night which feature my much-loved boxing day spoils.

The skirt has a thick lingerie-style elastic waistband, front zip, and bold pink panels overlaid with black lace; I have a feeling I’ll get plenty of wear out of it and the dress version, which is a similar style but a little bolder.

Thanks to Steph for the pics.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
