This year LA's hottest fashion event has moved to Downtown Los Angeles at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. Fashion Designer Louis Verdad, Photographer August Bradley, and Film Director Robertino Fonseca reveal an inspired artistic fashion vision hosted by Downtown LA Fashion Week at MOCA.


DLAFW will unveil of the Louver Collection by Louis Verdad on the final evening of Downtown LA Fashion Week's event and fundraiser for MOCA. The new Louver Collection by Louis Verdad will be presented as a series of artistic installations, along with the photography of August Bradley depicting dramatic conceptual interpretations of Louver and Vintage Verdad designs. This will be the first-ever presentation of large-format prints from August Bradley and Louis Verdad's work for the "Hasselblad Masters Book", plus new images never before seen. A video installation by the acclaimed "Fashion Cinema" film director Robertino Fonseca will reveal an imaginative narrative behind the creation of the images, along with the broader story and inspiration behind Louis Verdad's work.

(www.decadesinc.com), today announced an inspiring vintage fashion show and charity event celebrating 20th Century Glamour at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA on Thursday evening, March 19th, 2009. Organized by one of LAs most prestigious vintage experts, Cameron Silver, and hosted by actress Rachel Griffiths, the runway will unveil a variety of one-of-a-kind creations from designers whose aesthetic and style have been influential in defining todays fashion landscape. Tickets to the show, which includes an after party and a surprise music performance, will be open to the public and available for purchase online at www.downtownlafashionweek.com. Ticket proceeds from the evening will benefit MOCA. Additionally, Downtown LA Fashion Week will plant a tree for every ticket sold online as part of a global initiative via Trees for the Future.
