Mini Biography Born Matthew David Hasler in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, on January 4, 1983. Matthew Hasler was raised in Canberra and became interested in performing at an early age. He moved to country South Australia when he was 17. At 18, Hasler shot his first commercial for Albury politician Greg Aplin. He worked various jobs including retail and in a health club. Hasler got into acting after director & writer Karen Power approached him while working on reception at the local gym. He made his film debut in the multi award winning, Raphael (2007). In 2008 he shot a second film by Travis Kalendra and Nick Bollard of McLeaod’s Daughters fame called Family Business.
