In my art and design practice, I subvert the traditional distinction between painting, drawing, sewing, brush and pencil marks, written words, images, textile construction and fashion design. I am intrigued by the poetic reverie that is created when the whole becomes more than the sum of its fragments; where painting, fashion, emotional memory, drawing, gesture, wonder and yearning, line and silence, writing and poetry metamorphose into a single entity. My work develops and documents my ideas about memory, identity, time, poetry, loss, Beauty, mythology, imagination and uncertainty. The above threads in my work diarize / map my spiritual journey; reflect my life experience. I am exploring the idea of a visual grammar of textural experience and feelings in paint and marks on paper, textiles, metal, fabric and canvas. I studied fashion design in Paris! Attended Art History lectures at the Louvre! I lived in Paris for over 2 years and trained at Parsons Paris School of Design. I am passionate about Beauty! Beauty in all its forms of creation and expression: design, architecture, drawing, painting, sculpture, fashion / la mode, music, poetry, literature, writing, furniture & jewellery design. In essence, all modes of design. Design is everywhere! I speak French. I combine French and English languages in my writings, artworks and creative designs. I can naturally write backwards and this manner of expression gives me pleasure. Writing backwards gratifies me aesthetically, creatively and manually.
