So much that came before Alistair Trung‘s Spring 2010 showing at Melbourne fashion week (MSFW) focussed on the layering and gathering of fabric. Trung’s collection wasn’t exactly devoid of either effects, but instead struck as being less about layers and more about the contrast between skin and fabric that occurs with selective use of sheer and cutaway detailing.
It also struck as being a collection of dresses, though feminine, refreshingly unsuited to Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival stereotypical style.
