Backstage at the Stolen Girlfriends Club spring 2011 runway females models were being divided, by way of their hair and makeup, into two distinct groups. Angelic girls with lips of babydoll cherry-red or fuchsia pink, hair softly pulled up; and those of a darker mood with lips of deep plum, hair slicked back at the crown with sides left falling messily free. Once they hit the Australian fashion week runway it was clear just how much these contrasting beauty looks did to compliment the mood of the clothes; the former group were decked out in the label’s prairie-like Western pieces, the latter in the edgier, darker ones.
