The fact that most people are still averse to wearing winter brights didn’t stop designer Emilio de la Morena from using them. Nor did it stop him from taking the concept even further, setting winter whites and sheers against high-neck, frilled collars with more than a hint of the Victorian about them. While the collection’s black elements strike the perfect tone, it’s the textured reds which are the more prominent and unique proposition.
When the two are merged however, with patchwork reds sitting over block blacks, it’s less effective and the trim silhouette feels somewhat lost.
