While you don’t always notice it in the whir of legs and swishes of skirts that shimmy past on the runway, when you’re up close and personal backstage it’s very apparent: for most shows, every beauty detail gets attended to. That means eyebrows are groomed, skin is primed, and nails are painted – sometimes fake nails applied all together.

Such was the case at Zimmermann’s Australian fashion week (MBFWA) showing yesterday, as you can see from Australian model Louise Van Der Vorst as she waits patiently in the hair and makeup area to be called through for first looks.
