The hairstyles and head-pieces at Gail Sorronda‘s RAFW (Australian fashion week) show were so intriguing, they were in danger of outshining the clothes. But despite barely straying from a colour palette of simple black and white – except for one moment of bronze – the clothing held its own. There were tulle underskirts and heavy beaded necklaces that were tribal inspired. There were unique pants with sheer panels from knee to calf, billowing out before gathering at the ankles, harem style. Some garments were cocoon-shaped, complimenting the alienous towering hairdo’s.
