As a Kiwi export (and you know how much I adore New Zealanders) Karen Walker has done super well. It comes down, in part, to her ability to engineer a sense of effortlessness whilst keeping the detail strong. At 2010′s L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) Walker was largely nautical in theme – i.e navy and white stripes, this cute little flag print (pictured below), and double breasted coats with shiny gold buttons (rather than the usual naval crests though, the buttons were stamped with peace signs. A cute touch you might not notice bar for in the close-up shots).
