Louis Vuitton never do things by halves. So it was that their current-season collection arrived on a Paris fashion week catwalk by way of three custom-made elevators and their spring 2012 fashion offering revolved on an equally bespoke carousel. While this time around it was again left to model Kate Moss to close the show, few other similarities were to be found. Whereas the autumn collection is full of dark, fetishist looks, the first full Louis Vuitton collection for 2012 was offered up as something quite different. Something more akin to cotton-candy. Something evolving from the mid-20th Century. Something even a little bit prairie.
