Groovy Mood. That should give it away. For his autumn / fall 2011 collection designer Roberto Cavalli has offered to men a seventies inspired range that plays to existing the suiting trends of cinched waists, defined shoulders and peaked lapels while play to the season’s new found relaxed fit to trousers without ever indulging in flares of bell bottoms (as the collection’s ‘Groovy’ name might have otherwise implied). Of the collection’s more indulgent components, the dinner suit with a snake skin shawl lapel I could live without, while the teal blue velvet suit is certainly one of the better two piece interpretations of this men’s autumn / winter essential that I’ve come across.
