There’s an obvious intricacy to the Fyodor Golan’s autumn 2011 collection. It’s sumptuous, and yet when such a word is used that often means layers upon layers of fabric or lashings of rich colours and exotic cloth. Perhaps the latter is true of this Fyodor Golan offering, but the former certainly aren’t. Here stands a collection whose sumptuousness lies in the craftsmanship, from the the cloth to the leather, all in order to produce intricate detail.
Though subtle, you’ll note that some pieces and accessories in the collection have something of a tribal feel to them. It’s intentional. The design duo behind Fyodor Golan, Fyodor Podgorny and Golan Frydma, cite Pagan goddesses as the inspiration behind their first collection and have suitably titled it Pagan Poetry.
