Victoria Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection is exactly as you’d imagine it: a mixture of geometric cuts, peplums, and largely conservative colours. In fact, it’s most striking attribute is precisely how subdued the collection, in its entirety, is; there aren’t any show stopping looks to speak of, unlike other Spring 2010 catwalks it was intimately presented and was without something you could formally identify as a runway, and it still feels like a collection that wouldn’t be amiss on Roland Mouret’s catwalk.
And yet, this is by no means an imperfect collection. With cutaway and sheer detailing sitting alongside evening gowns it’s all highly wearable. After so long in the public eye, however, I guess I’ve just come to expect more showbiz from Victoria Beckham.
