Alexander Wang’s ability to engineer cool hasn’t, seemingly, diluted over time. But while some of his collections fall further into tomboy and at times miss the mark of sexy, resort / pre-spring 2013 gets the formula spot on. From leather crop tops that double as harnesses when viewed from behind, to reptile-leather shorts and knit singlets that fasten at the back with lingerie straps, this season is soft nonchalance with a hard edge that will captivate the Wang gang all over again.
