Alexandre Vauthier keeps it short and sexy for fall 2013, proving once again that haute couture isn’t solemnly about floor-sweeping gowns and ethereal silhouettes. His idea of sensual glamour dressed the models in skin-colored bustier jumpsuits built upon exquisite draping, ultrashort miniskirts paired with oversized varsity jackets, and body hugging dresses exploring the edge of asymmetry.
The electrifying Paris fashion week (PFW) catwalk attested the youthful vibe whispering through the couture outing, as more seductive ensembles reimagining endless black and white combinations were introduced alongside sleek jackets, luxe furs and more satin bustiers wrapped in fine tulle.
Gorgeous embellishments adorning both cropped jackets and revealing upper bodices added to the idea of night glamour, while high side slits and layers of transparency were keen on highlighting the provocative side of couture.
