An ode to cashmere translating to a sharp sense of urban elegance defined Andrea Karg’s fall / winter 2013 collection for Allude. Versatile, polished and smooth, the German designer’s vision met new heights this season, introducing her first menswear silhouettes and pursuing in further exploring favourite fabrics through an uncomplicated, but posh aesthetic which lead to a series of remarkable designs.
Covered in earthy tones like rust or accented by shades of moss green, the clean silhouettes cut in leather and cashmere were injected with a luxurious quality, built upon the lines of a confident attitude. Laid-back but issuing a sophistication and an an ease that would translate greatly onto the streets, Karg’s creations included slick A-line skirts, chunky knits, fur tops and wide trousers. Coming across effortless, the basic line played upon the juxtaposition of hard and soft, with cream and beige hues standing against deep purples and cobalt blues, and thick materials being paired with opaque fabrics. Envisioned to be dressed up or down with no effort, Allude’s collecion secured Andrea Karg’s name on the fashion map.
