Antonio Berardi certainly knows how to turn simplicity into an intricate string of cuts and shapes that in their play always appear to be celebrating the purest form of femininity. For resort 2014, the designer chose severe tailoring and bold, geometric prints to express his contrasting vision of cruise-wear. Built almost exclusively on dresses and skirts, the collection maintained its signature sensuality.
The first half of the collection encapsulated fitted and A-line dresses hitting just above the knee, pant suits and tailored shorts, all vividly accented by small-scale geometric prints in green, black and blue, along with gorgeous foliage prints done in green, blue and red. The second half of the resort offering morphed into a black and white fantasy, both luxurious and demure, playful and strict.
More of the hourglass inspired shapes collided with alluring blocks of transparency, exquisite beading and gorgeous lace inserts that in the most subtle course led the way towards the beautiful evening hours.
