If there’s sex appeal to a man who’s both rugged and refined, then Belstaff’s fall 2013 menswear collection has it in spades. Outerwear is slim-cut, often belted, made to accentuate the best of a man’s shape. But even where woollen coats are military inspired, jackets are beautifully tailored, and things start to feel wholly classic, the brand’s motorsport heritage is kept firmly in mind. Quilted knees on motorcycle pants (skinny, of course) are subtle in wool and statement-making in leather. Sharp and luxury-loving he may be, but Belstaff’s man always goes about with an air of danger.
Colour wise, Belstaff keeps it dark and classic. But with the slim cuts and on-trend styles – everything from relaxed parkas to bombers – it’s a collection that has a finger on the menswear pulse.
