There was a very fine line between masculine elegance and urban athleticism at Calvin Klein’s fall 2013 runway presentation, and the greatest thing was that neither of the strong concepts overpowered the other, so no side was actually crossed. With the cutting-edge man in mind and a little bit of love for the futuristic elements at heart, Italo Zucchelli used an embossed dissected herringbone as leitmotif of his collection.
It was the fine art of layering a series of contrasting patterns and the designer’s unique ability to turn even the most basic piece of clothing into a walking testimonial of his tailoring genius that ended up reflecting Zucchelli’s true nature as a craftsman. Nothing short of dramatic, quite bold actually and resembling what a modern guy would wear today in order to make a statement, Calvin Klein’s fall 2013 line-up was refreshing.
