Chloe’s daywear aesthetic holds strong

Some fashion houses send evening glamour down their runways. Others pack it with everything imaginable in the hope that something resonates with someone somewhere. But what we now consider to be the distinct brand of Chloe chic is something else; it’s a daytime aesthetic that confines itself to the space between casual and dressy, always appealing to the girl who wants effortlessness as her overriding quality.

For Chloe’s fall 2012 show Clare Waight Keller didn’t stray from that spirit of easy, Parisian-infused dressing. Her Paris fashion week runway carried over the 1970s inspiration from seasons past, blending it seamlessly with sporty modern details for a collection that didn’t replicate another era but rather pulled subtly from it.

If the collection lacked anything it was the obvious seasonal ‘it’ pieces that we’ve come to expect from a Chloe collection; but with details like rich lacework and an array of easy-to-wear outerwear pieces, Chloe fans won’t be disappointed.
