A game of volume set against dense fabrics marked a different kind of seductiveness coming from Cushnie et Ochs’s designer duo for fall / winter 2013. As the first model took on the runway, something about her dark, mysterious beauty look, denoting the witchy inspiration of the seasons, felt like a notable extension of her all-white crisp, ensemble designed only to further accent the change of heart and tone that Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs embraced so bravely.
No more signs of harsh cut-outs, close-fitting silhouettes or even blunt sexiness, as everything appeared lighter, more sophisticated and definitely more luxurious. The dark hues helped a great deal in establishing the right path, as did the use of a majestic print gently capturing a glimpse of sunlight. Not as reveling as the other Cushnie et Ochs collections, this particular one was maybe the most sensual yet, blame it on the subtle peek-a-boo effect or maybe on the breathtakingly dark glam.
