Best runway entertainment: Moncler Gamme Bleu.
Dans le Moment.
Maybe it’s just me, but there’s something relentlessly uplifting about a rank of sailors who suddenly break out into enthusiastic tap dance to a soundtrack of vintage jazz. Not that the poker faces of most front-row viewers would let on that Moncler Gamme Bleu’s pre-runway entertainment was infecting them with it’s cheeriness.
Never one to miss an opportunity to go all-out on a theme, it was Thom Browne’s nautical spring 2013 collection for Moncler Gamme Bleu that brought this shore-leave-sailors-at-a-dance act to the stage. Runway shows that blur the line with entertainment aren’t uncommon, but this one at least wins the award for day 2 of Milan fashion week. Oh – and if you’re wondering, yes they did do a closing number to In The Navy.
