Diesel Black Gold Autumn (Fall) / Winter 2013

Finding himself at only the second collection showing built under the position of creative director for Diesel Black Gold, Andreas Melbostad did great when it came to the label’s fall / winter 2013 line up. Amazing even as he already managed to breath new life into the garments that now seem much more representative of the young, sexy and edgy qualities preceding Diesel Black Gold’s aesthetic of many years. Going all black, with a just splash of white and embracing leather as the “it” fabric for fall and winter, there was little left that could have went the wrong way.

Melbostad kept his line clean, extremely well-fitted and relevant. Black skinny leather pants slightly unzipped at the ankles, crisp white tops worn with mini silhouettes, motorcycle jackets in various reinterpretations, denim and studs. The latter were given new purpose in fully embellishing the alluring and cutting edge garments that ended up looking like something a modern girl would desperately want to wear. There was a little something for every woman seeking to look cool, captivating and confident come fall. And that is all that matters in the end.
