DKNY will forever be an urban brand at heart and as its inspiration lies in the great city of New York that urban flavor is unlikely to be anything but modern, hip and ultra-cool. Just like the guys envisioned to be walking the busy streets wearing Garry Martin’s designs. DKNY men’s fall / winter 2013 collection is more proof that the powerhouse actually knows its customers, both past and future ones, men too busy to think about details, in need of a wardrobe that easily works its way from day into night.
Elegant shades of navy and grey served as foundation for the clean and bold collection that somehow found the means to rework a guy’s essentials without turning them into reckless attempts of newness. Everything from the quilted blazers, to the camo jackets and sleek suits felt current, but in a subtle, more steady manner, that also made them appear distinct.
