How can you not be drawn into a collection that borrows from both masculine tailoring and the exotic fascinations of the 1940s, all at the same time? That seemed to be what Giorgio Armani was doing for his Prive’s haute couture spring 2013 collection at Paris fashion week (PFW), and the overall effect was one of beauty in strength.
Geometric patterns, bold tribal-Deco looking jewellery and burnished metallics made for couture looks you’d want to wear on more places than just the red carpet, from the dresses with delicately suspended halter necklines to beautifully tailored pant suits.
