Givenchy men’s Fall 2013: Essentials Reloaded

By being the first fashion house to debut a fall 2013 collection, Givenchy gives us an exclusive first look at the garments set to shape up the future directions and the emerging trends of late 2013. For what could basically be perceived as an edgy reinterpretation of the essentials belonging in a men’s wardrobe, Givenchy’s Fall 2013 collection carries a strong sense of sophistication.

The empowering motorcycle vibes meet an equally bold array of exclusive checks and contrasting fabrics in a series of looks that exude masculinity and a raw sense of style. The animal print is being carried across into the new season under the guise of digitally hand-painted doberman faces that alongside the HDG (House de Givenchy) stamp and the intricate checks complete the print galore.

The graphic dimension of the fall 2013 collection is being emphasized by intriguing patchworks that mix contrasting prints and fabrics only to reenforce Givenchy‘s signature aesthetic. Leather, stone washed denim and refined cable sweaters, together with the elongated silhouettes and the engineered cuts infuse the collection with a strong feel of urban polish.

The cotton velvet and wool and satin slim tailoring manage to accentuate the elegant angle of Givenchy’s fall / winter 2013 collection, that plays upon classic shades of black, crisp shirts and clean silhouettes. Because a man needs to dress up, just as much as he needs to look effortlessly cool and relaxed.
