Just like saying a lot with the help of few, little words, Christophe Lemaire’s minimalist fall / winter 2013 collection for Hermes talked a great deal about the genuine Parisian chic that has women all around the world persistently trying to achieve that same effortless and smart sense of style. Wrapped in mystery, mixing tradition with high class, Hermes’ line up gave subtlety a new definition.
Fur, leather, cashmere and suede represented the flawless choice of fabrics that helped built the free-spirited collection envisioned for an enigmatic woman that could easily belong to any corner of the world. That same universal appeal enriched the mid-calf skirts, timeless white shirts, lavish fur jackets and chunky knits vests, gifting them new identities for fall. Striking simplicity doesn’t come the easy way, yet Lemaire appears to posses a true calling for uncomplicated elegance. His clear vision translated to an ageless collection that feels relevant now, but so will feel in a decade or two.
