The question that reads everyone’s mind each time a new collection signed Herve Leger by Max Azria gets to be presented, is inevitable intended for the bandage dress, and the body-con number’s infinite variations we got used to witness as the seasons went by. At this point, it appears that the story will never grow old for Lubov Azria and her team, who again chose to play upon the predictable factor for the pre-fall 2013 lineup, while also making sure to carry forward the Spring collaboration initiated with rural Alabama’s quilting community.
The creative partnership translated to a series of patchwork motifs, highly represented by a butterfly and paisley jacquard that served as a base for fitted dresses, stretch leggings, flared garments and sleek ensembles. As expected, the bandage silhouettes were emphasized by edgy studs, harnesses accents and delicate ruffles that despite looking familiar, managed to add notes of delicacy to the more flirty frocks.
The only real novelty element featured in the pre-fall 2013 lineup was exclusively infused in an ultra-feminine gown, that surprised and delighted with a floor-length sillouethe, beautifully accented by intricate cut-outs and a refreshingly clean design.
