Honor’s spring / summer 2014 girl was sprinkled with a child-like magic, from the constellation of tiny star-shaped flowers dotting one side of her tousled ponytail to the glitter that collected on the toes of her pointed shoes. In between, Giovanna Randall’s vision of whimsical femininity took shape in intricate perforations and laser cutting, clashing prints in opaque versus sheer layers, and luminous floral appliques.
What’s most telling about Honor is just how many of the attendees were sporting the brand’s recognisable aesthetic, like flag-bearers for all things nostalgically feminine. This New York fashion week (NYFW) show encapsulated everything the brand is about; and appealed to the little girl inside all of us in the process.
