While the ’80s power shoulders that hulked onto the Iceberg’s fall 2013 runway didn’t feel ripe for a comeback just yet, the relevance of smartly-cut blazers with graphic black and white stripes across the sleeves made up for it. Elsewhere in the collection the Iceberg penchant for quirky and colorful became something entirely psychedelic; with swirling colours taking shape as either prints or heavy embellishments across jackets and dresses.
In between the two extremes of minimal black and white and psychedelic rainbow, there were pieces of bold aquamarine, blue and yellow that brought a cheery disposition to an oft muted season.
The highlight: Cara Delevingne rocking a pink and black furry jumper with a sequin-studded funny face on the front – the kind your grandma might have given you in the ’80s. Who else could rock that jumper (Hideous? Ironically so?) with so much conviction?
