Jason Wu Autumn (Fall) / Winter 2013

It takes a designer years just to develop the kind of strength and confidence that seemed to effortlessly embrace Jason Wu’s fall / winter 2013 collection, after just a few, remarkable truth be told, seasons of showing during New York fashion week (NYFW).  Serving as a veritable testimony of Wu’s grown-up vision, the luxurious line up felt destined to be worn exclusively by a powerful, sensual and glamorous woman. And without a doubt in mind, each of the garments will soon find a special someone to match their perfection.

Every single detail in the collection pointed towards that newly identified sense of maturity in design, from the color palette coated in shades of black and white with just a hint of boldness in hues, all the way to the elaborate silhouettes that in all of their toughness looked polished and extremely sophisticated.

The selection of classic button-down shirts, topped by elegant coats with fur accents and daring shoulders, was perfectly balanced by the softness accompanying the beautiful night garments; a vision of ethereal pleats, moving like dreams on the runway and delicate polka dots gently placed on the equally stunning sheer bodices.
