Jean Pierre Braganza loves a fantasy world as much as a real one, and for fall / winter 2013 it was a dark fantasy indeed. Part Dune, part Game of Thrones, with a touch of Samurai thrown in for good measure, it’s no wonder the makeup was dark and the mood mystical to match.
And what Braganza found on the London fashion week runway was a sublime balance between the fantastical and the sophisticated, with elaborate prints looking like they’d come from occult motifs and fantasy book covers respectively, and fabrics having an all-over luxuriousness.
If you ever wondered what sat at the perfect mid-point between Comic Con fantasy cosplay and high fashion, then wonder no more: Braganza’s runway had it covered.
