Just Cavalli fall 2013: alive with prints

In a season that appears as dipped in the darkest hues and shaped by the most rigid structures, the masters of prints outdid themselves once again, as the runway at Just Cavalli resembled an expedition set to conquer the heart of the Orient itself. The refreshing scene brought along a bouquet of Asian inspired patterns, a mix of animal motifs and just enough color-blocked fur coats to keep the outwear line equally ravishing, all leading us to believe that the “eccentric, eclectic girl” Roberto and Eva Cavalli envisioned for fall / winter 2013 will have no trouble in setting the world on fire.

High neck mini-dresses accompanied by fur-trimmed parkas, cable-knit sweaters set to balance the wild mix of patterns, tight leggings in the most vivid animal prints and Cavalli’s signature leopard and snake skin penchants adorning everything from slim pencil skirts, to lean trousers and slightly oversized coats, offered plenty of alternatives in adopting a bold and exuberant kind of fall. Clashed together for the strongest impact or toned down by black silky separates evoking the brand’s rock&roll spirit, the Just Cavalli tough but quizzical prints made sure the collection came alive on the runway.
