Lisa Ho soft and breezy for Spring 2010/2011

A fashionable crowd descended upon the pillared entranceway of Sydney’s Art Gallery of NSW this morning for the first of the 2010 RAFW (Australian fashion week) shows. The light, bright surrounds of the gallery – with it’s modern artworks and glassy walls set amidst the heritage exterior – were perfectly suited to the easy, breezy Grecian-meets-modern feel of the collection.

Samantha Harris opened the show in a draping nude dress and nude heels, before a throng of more neutral-coloured outfits sauntered down the runway. Tailoring was structured and neat, cottons fresh and silks flowing and luxurious; all topped off by neatly wrapped buns and nude makeup. Into the show and the collection started to flirt with colour by way of one-shouldered gowns and speckled prints – before the final floor-length dress found its way through the venue on the lithe body of Alyssa Sutherland.
