Envisioned for a woman “who is not afraid of simplicity”, Maison Rabih Kayrouz’s fall / winter 2013 collection was a beautiful rendering of uncomplicated appeal. Translating his architectural inspiration into a line gleaming with soft notes, a paralleled style and an overall sense of ease, the Lebanese designer decided to stick to his signature aesthetic, while further exploring his couture awareness.
Pared down and ready to go, the full knee-length skirts featuring precise panels and alluring slits, teamed to a series of spectacular ribbed knits playing upon volume seemed effortless and relevant. Further more, the fur jackets, the laser-cut wool coats and the large selection of trench coats offered endless possibilities in the outerwear department, betting on timeless elegance and classic attributes. For night, the mesmerizing silk gowns, demure yet refined, served as certified proof that less is indeed more, and that simplicity sometimes makes for the best answer.
