Through the cold conditions of winter it was lovely to see Mara Hoffman’s fall / winter 2013 collection so full of color. Spirits were elevated on Saturday when walking down the runway were Mara’s boho, fun, gypsy-inspired looks, each very unique from one another.
The designs were heavily influenced by pattern and prints from around the world. The color palette consisted of intense corals, light blue, and fuchsia. The looks contrasted between flowing dresses and tight, body-conscious, ones.
A highlight of the collection was the metal toed footwear that every model wore: they toughed up the look, along with the added accessorie of a Pamela Love armor ring to complete the tough-girl edge. Each model was given a little cat eye creating an intensity in their face that contrasted well with each look, while the hair was slicked back but left straight and long down the back.
