Marni’s fall collection was austere with a romanic edge, a sentiment perfectly conveyed by the hair and beauty look that went with it. Giving the models the enchanted look of woodland creatures was deeply side parted hair by Paul Hanlon that stuck to the forehead in a dry, weathered way. Hanlon used volumes of mousse on the hair to give it the dry, textured effect.
Meanwhile makeup director Tom Pecheux was referencing the haunting photography of Sarah Moon, an inspiration that showed through in deep blood-red stained lips and pale skin that added to the ethereality of each model’s look.
