Although embracing a subtle androgynous direction for pre-fall 2013, Moschino Cheap & Chic is not the one to totally abandon the idea of playfulness and whimsy in a feminine attire. So in spite of the tough theme, the alluring inserts and the elusive bondage accents, the Moschino Cheap & Chic woman can rest assured that the lineup is still very much close to the signature aesthetic that the fashion house got us used to.
The timeless black and white combo, topped by the charming tuxedo elements smartly infused in crisp collars and menswear inspired braces, brought the collection to an entirely new level of youthful sophistication. Strongly contrasting with adorable polka-dot prints and an utterly feminine fuchsia infusion, the boyish brogues helped style the looks with a little bit of a masculine edge.
The Moschino Cheap & Chic pre-fall 2013 lineup managed to capture the essence of its unexpected “Bon-Ton Bondage” theme, without loosing the capacity of making it feel approachable, fun and exciting, just perfectly able to satisfy the C&C customer at the end of the day. It’s all about reaching for new horizons, without ever having to step too far outside of what already is a well defined aesthetic.
