Just as the celebrities caught the real taste for the Afghan British-born designer’s minimalist and effortlessly elegant garments, Osman Yousefzada decided that it’s time to update his distinctive signature, building in more confidence but sticking to the rigidly simplistic shapes designed to perfection. Inspired by Narnia, but not in the literal sense, Osman’s fall / winter 2013 collection opened up strong, clean, revealing architectural shapes and light silhouettes.
Here and there, the minimalist white designs were touched by a luxurious gold brocade detailing. Lightweight cashmere coats covered in delicate shades of gray felt ultra-modern and chic, while the exquisite fur touches complemented the quiet distinction of Osman’s creations. Seamlessly combining draping and tailoring, the designer provided a collection that felt relevant, feminine and rich without being opulent. Osman’s clientele can rest assured that it will look as flawless as ever once the clean-cut dresses, lean silhouettes and crisp ensembles will hit stores.
