Peachoo+Krejberg’s spring / summer 2013 show marked another of Paris fashion week‘s alternative, edgy offerings. The opener was all black, draped, accessoriesd with a leather harness. More black followed, then white. But if these contrasts of gauzy layers and leather and tailoring were the typical aesthetic for Paris’ smaller shows, Peachoo+Krejberg carried them out with more than enough detail, and luxuriousmess of fabrics, to differentiate and to please.
A lace panel on a coat made it seem like part dress, part outerwear, cleverly enticing you to look closer. A heavily and intricately beaded bodice sparkled atop more black lace. Silk prints kept to the black and white palette but added another facet to the collection.
Another harness appeared in silver, like a metallic rib-cage layered over ethereal white draping: a stand out outfit that kept to the minimal side just before more impressively beaded black gowns closed the show.
