A beautiful display of colors met an even more enthusiastic take on volumes and unusual shapes in Roksanda Ilincic’s offering for resort 2014. Unconventional floral appliques crossed paths with a colorblocked fantasy in the line-up that drew inspiration from Lygia Clark’s conceptual aesthetic. Making use of iridescent PVC to enrich the elegant silhouettes, Ilincic breathed new life into glamour.
The A-line dresses were imagined in profuse blocks of color, the voluminous coats came barring more embellishments in the way of dainty flowers laser-cut in neoprene, while the floor-sweeping evening gowns made use of an entire palette of blues and greens. Part fun, part sweet but preserving Roksanda Ilincic’s uncomplicated sense of elegance, the collection turned the resort-wear into a full statement.
The black sandals that styled the garments captured the entire spirit of the collection with their feminine bows and unconventional PVC heels.
