Ruffian fall 2013: urban Marie Antoinette

Ruffian’s collection last season was a nod to the ever-growing popularity of the Williamsburg hipster. This season Ruffian’s fall 2013 collection took it to a baroque Marie Antoinette asthetic.

The designs maintained their laidback feel with Converse as the main show provider of shoes down Ruffian’s cool yet ornate New York fashion week (NYFW) runway. Blouses rocked big bows and ruffles. There were constant pops of floral fabrics in silks and cottons, while the color scheme stayed within the appealing pastel range of colors.

The hair was poofed in the front and then pulled back into a half ponytail. Strong brows were drawn on the models to give them a deeper look of confidence as they strutted down the runway in their fun winter day wear.
