Out of the Concept Korea goup of designers the one to watch is Son Jung Wan. This collection was well edited and featured jewel tone gowns, with the overall feeling that it was made for the Upper East Side girl: simple colors, interesting designs and a touch of richness by the addition of fur trim and Son Jung Wan’s take on a day suit. Strong shouldered jackets with fur collars can be imagined being seen walking up 5th avenue.
The stand out piece was an all fur dress that reminded us of an owl. It was amazingly well constructed and one of the most unique pieces seen so far this fall / winter 2013 season.
The hair was pulled back into a tight bun and puffed at the top the head giving off an elitist vibe to the collection. The make-up was natural but as we have seen on a number of New York fashion week (NYFW) runways this season, the addition of strong dark eyebrows gave an edgy touch to the collection.
