If our imagination travels closely with the resort 2014 collections, let it at least be to the most enticing of destinations. Building upon this very same sense of adventure, Tory Burch chose Morocco as inspiration for this season’s mood board. Alongside Manet and Monet, North Africa’s architecture and colors ended up influencing the lines of the silhouettes, replacing the boyish charm with a classic, feminine appeal.
The faded florals, the subtle embellishments and the ethnic prints are rounded up by the Panama style straw hats and low-heeled raffia sandals. Tory Burch’s signature palette wasn’t left behind, melting in fact into the soft neutrals and pale blues, a sign that this season hides a softer essence. Going shorter in embracing the tailored silhouettes, Burch delivered a youthful, relaxed, almost romantic collection.
The matching tunic and shorts, the lightweight tweed mini-dresses and the printed georgette maxi-skirts seem complete as finished with statement jewelry pieces and oversized bags adorned with embroideries.
