While other designers fought their vision until they reached that supreme state of urban sophistication men find seducing and so appropriate for their city quests, Umit Benan from the house of Trussardi abandoned himself to the idea of country casual this fall 2013 season, and he did it effortlessly.
But we’re of course talking about a refined kind of nonchalance that took over the Milan fashion week (MFW) runway, one that was walking hand in hand with slick coats, the most comfortable looking knits and the shoes whose unexpected concept was built upon a combination of trainers and boots.
A parade of double breasted coats, bright and colorful raincoats and sporty bomber jackets, completed the high-volume array of outwear and the sudden change of setting felt actually nice. If nothing else, the fallen leaves on the runway were a clear sign that Trussardi was heading country for fall 2013.
