Far from the usual blossoming lushness you might associate with couture, Zuhaitz’s Paris fashion week runway was a desert garden of leafless branches and scattered bark chips. There’s beauty in the desert, though; where sands stretch away and nature has evolved to withstand harsh conditions. Some pieces were sun-burnished gold, others red as dust or accented in a khaki green.
I took these shots from the front row of the show, which was designer Bijou Phelouzat’s Paris debut.
